COLITIS & CROHN’S FOUNDATION (INDIA)

Colitis Crohns Foundation (India) has been established as a national, not-for-profit, voluntary academic society by a team of people with special interest in inflammatory bowel disease.

Its composition is multi - disciplinary ; comprising of physicians, surgeons & other professionals dedicated to assuring high quality patient care by advancing and promoting the science & practice of management of patients with ‘Inflammatory Bowel Disease’.

The society pursues its objectives through a number of activities

• Organization of scientific meetings
• Fostering ‘Basic & Clinical Research Programmes’ through research grants
• Conducting educational and support group meetings & providing education material for health care professionals & patients & their relatives
• Fund raising through subscriptions, donations, gifts, grants or contributions in cash, for the promotion of the aims and objectives of the society
• Exchange of information & contact with other international groups focused on IBD
• Charity by providing medicine-free of cost or on subsidized rates , to provide medical care and help to the needy suffering from IBD , who are unable to bear the cost of management of the disease.
